4 Customizations you may not know about!

My goal for Sift was and is to make it work for YOU. So while I designed Sift with my own business in mind, I wanted to make sure there was enough opportunity for you to customize things to fit your wants and needs too! Here are 4 subtle customizations you can take advantage of.

1. The Preview Switch

What does it do?

You may have noticed the 2 bullets with some order details below the title of each inquiry that comes through. You can actually customize what information from your form shows up here! This is meant to give you a quick snapshot of the inquiry in case you don't want to open it up and look at all of the details. Think of it like an inquiry summary!

How do I customize it?

Go into your form as if you were editing it. Tap on the question that has the information you would like to see in your inquiry summary. Below the question you will see 2 switches you can toggle (one says required, the other says preview). Toggle the preview switch on and that's it! You may have to close out of the app and refresh to see the change reflected in your inquiry list!

2. Automated Email Responses

When you accept or decline an inquiry, an automated email is sent to your client to let them know of your availability. You can customize what those emails say in your settings! I know automated emails can feel impersonal sometimes, so make your email sound and feel like you!

Here's how:

Go into your settings. Under preferences, tap the arrow next to "Automated Emails." Tap the type of email you would like to customize and then click the pink button that says. "customize your email." Change or add whatever you'd like to make the email more you!

3. Your Availability

Cut back on the time you spend responding to clients you know you cannot take on by setting your availability. Mark off the dates that you know you are booked/unavailable and your clients will not be able to select these dates when filling out a form.

Follow these steps:

Tap the calendar at the bottom to access the availability (you can also access this from the settings section). Add your dates and you're done!

4. Your Name

Your Sift account name actually matters! The name you put in is what will show up in your clients' emails. For example. if I signed up as "Custom Cookies by Emily," the emails I send from the app will show up in my clients' inboxes coming from "Custom Cookies by Emily." If I was to just put "Emily Retamozo" as my name, my emails would show up like that. You can edit your name in the settings section!

One thing to keep in mind...

When you sign up as a business you will put in your personal name and the name of your business. The business name is the one that will show up for your clients!
